Our Children in Need Day was a funfilled day. All the children and
staff were dressed in their pyjamas and brought their teddy bears to
nursery for a Picnic with Pudsey tea. We raised a lot of money selling
home made pudsey biscuits and a guess the name of the dog game. We
would like to say a Big Thank you to all our generous donators and we
will let you know our total when the money has been counted.
The
pre-school visited the library on Thursday October 6th to watch
the Mr Men show. they were complimented on how well behaved they were.
Well done to our little heroes. The Babies and Humpty room children are
going to the
library on Monday mornings to join in with song and rhyme time.
A
Paulo Larrasso photographer came into nursery on 12th October to take
Seasonal photo's. We have already recieved some back and they are
as fantastic as ever. Thanks go to Paulo and his team fore their
good service.

The
Baby room are bringing in their pets for their topic this month.
We have had a beautiful kitten called Ellie come to visit us and now we
have a young tortoise called Trevorette come to stay for the day. The
children have all been very gentle with the animals and find it
hilarious the way Trevorette's head disappears in side his body.
We celebrated the wedding of Prince
William and Kate Middleton in style with a playground tea party. We had lots of food including cucumber sandwiches.
All
the children and staff who came to the wedding tea
on were dressed in red white and
blue,
and also as Princesses and Princes.
Our Harvest festival in October went
very well. All the children took part. We collected a large amount of
food stuffs to donate to our baskets.
The baskets will be donated to a various people in the community with
the help of St Lawrence Church. A very greatful Thank you goes to
everyone who contributed. Take a look at our photo's in the
Chronicle news paper.
Our
Halloween day was a huge success. Staff and children were all dressed
up and there was plenty of spooky goings on in the nursery.
On
Thursday 28th April Mr Reynolds brought
his new
tractor to show the children. He told them about how it works and
what jobs he uses it for .
Our
Easter bonnet parade was a
splendid turn out. There were a lot of very cleverly glued, sewn, and
sticky taped hats. Thanks to all our parents for your help.
The
lambs have been into nursery . There were two of them, a boy and girl
called Buster and Petal. They were very well behaved apart
from
running over the flower beds. A big Thank You for bringing
them
in, goes to Molly and Jack from Taylors farm at Mow
Cop.
The
children had a busy morning on 20th April they were all
making
their own video. This was done by driving a jeep through the
jungle and lots of other places. We all had a good time .
Thank you to everyone who
took part in our Red Nose events day. Lots of the children
and
most of the staff had
their hair done in whacky colours and styles. We held a sponsored
children's assault course. Which was a lot of fun for the children and raised lots of money.
We
celebrated our 20th Birthday in January 2011. We had a big
party
for the children with lots of games, dancing and extremely scrumptious
food to eat. We also had some of our previous staff members come to
wish us well.
The
nursery uniform items, polo tops, sweat shirts, and
waterproof jackets, are becoming more popular now as parents
realise
how much easier it is to know what your little ones will be putting on.
Please see room supervisors if you would like to purchase
anything.
